Morgan appeared in a documentary film Safe Sex for Men and Women on AIDS prevention and education. Part of the proceeds went towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is also on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan spearheaded other fund raising initiatives and gave a testimony on a Congressional panel discussing AIDS awareness. She is a member of the Board of Governors of APLA as well as Amfar. C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon general of Canada, has asked her to take over his duties on occasions at AIDS related occasions. In addition, she was the host of an AIDS Awareness Special along with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell and Morgan have made appearances on Nightline twice to discuss AIDS. Morgan has been nominated for an Emmy for her performance in the Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. This spring, Morgan costarred with Joan Rivers as Your Money or Your Wife on ABC television. She then started the summer by starring in Murder At The PTA Luncheon that was created by Von Zerneck/Sertner. It was also co-starring Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. After that, she was sent to Luxembourg to film Harmony Gold's Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee also appeared in the production. Morgan was also the sole actor in the USA Network's psychological suspense-thriller and earned the highest ratings that they have ever recorded.
